Baltimore Bioneers’07: Cultivating Change. Inspiring Solutions

The Bioneers are back and the convention this year is host to an inspiring lineup of speakers and topics.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Bioneers, they are an organization started in 1990 by Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons whose stated goal is to bring together scientific and social innovators with “visionary and practical models for restoring the Earth and communities.”

“Above all, Bioneers represent a culture of solutions. Their stories demonstrate that just as people have created the environmental and social problem we face, people can solve them - through a reciprocal partnership with nature. Over and over, they show how great a difference the actions of one individual can make.”

The event this year will take place in several locations simultaneously.  On October 19th through the 21st the Bioneer conference in San Rafael California will be broadcast out to several other Bioneer events.  Our local event will be held at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore MD.

I encourage people interested in the interrelationship of community and the environment to find out more about this event.

Here is a link to the events program.
